Odisha: 2 journalists are candidates for upcoming Urban Polls in Banki

Cuttack: As many as two journalists are in the run for the upcoming Urban Polls in Banki in the Cuttack district of Odisha.

Reportedly, the campaigning is now in full swing after the final list of nominations was submitted.

The main problems of NAC were reported to the administration through newspapers including drainage, drinking water in Ward 11.

Both the journalist candidates have said that if they get elected as Councillor they will continue to work for the betterment of the society.

Notably, Cuttack Municipal Corporation (CMC) is all set for the upcoming urban polls. The number of booths is likely to increase in this year’s election as the number of eligible voters have also increased.

As many as 1,000 to 1,200 people can cast their votes in each polling station. The booth verification procedure is underway in CMC. The voting for Councillor and Corporator will be held through EVM machines in the upcoming Municipal Elections. Each booth will be provided with two EVMs.
