Odisha: 13 Out Of 30 Kumbh Mela Returnees Test Covid Positive In Cuttack Station

Cuttack: As many as 13 out of the 30 people, tested for Covid (RTPCR) at Cuttack railway station have been detected positive for the deadly Coronavirus.

According to reports, all 30 of them had returned to Cuttack after attending the famous Kumbh Mela.

Cuttack Municipal Corporation (CMC) informed that a total of 30 samples obtained from people upon their arrival at Cuttack railway station after attending the Kumbh mela in Haridwar were screened for the presence of virus infection. Out of the which, 13 were tested positive.

It is noteworthy, that the Odisha government on Saturday had said all returnees from the Kumbh Mela will have to undergo a 14-day quarantine period.

Apart from that, RTPCR tests were made compulsory on entering the state.

The quarantine can be completed at home or temporary medical camps (TMC) informed the Special Relief Commissioner (SRC) P K Jena.
