Odisha: 1019 vehicles in Cuttack, 874 in Bhubaneswar seized for lock down violation

Bhubaneswar: Police have seized at least 1019 vehicles in the capital city while 874 vehicles in the silver city Cuttack of Odisha on Monday for violation of lock down norms.

Despite repeated sensitization these bikers/ car riders had ventured to the street infringing the norms of the lock down order that has been imposed to curb the biggest threat of the time – Coronavirus pandemic.

    House arrest, lathi charge, vehicle sieze……are these legal means for not following rules of govt.? If so, govt. is no different from a criminal specially police department. People should be held responsible for their own suffering when they are infected rather than torturing them physically and mentally.

    Sir, will bus and train train services start for a day or two after lockdown, so that people stranded in other cities of odisha can return back home safely
