Deogarh: 1 person was killed and 20 others injured as a bus collided head on with a truck in Barkote police limits in Deogarh district on NH 23.
The bus was going from Angul toRourkela, when the bus driver lost control and collided with a truck coming from the opposite side of the road.
The person who died is the driver of the truck, his identity is yet to be ascertained.
The injured were first admitted to Barkote Community Health Centre (CHC) for treatment. The critically injured passengers were later sent to Deogarh district headquarters hospital.
Police and fire personnel have reached the spot and are investigating into the matter. Further details are awaited.
