Khurda: The Special Task Force (STF) seized 1.42 kg of brown sugar and arrested three drug peddlers from Dadhimachhagadia under Khurda Sadar Police Station today.
On the basis of intelligence input, a raid was conducted by STF near Dadhimachhagadia under Khurda Sadar Police Station against illegal possession of Narcotic Drugs and apprehended three drug peddlers namely Ranjan Kumar Patasani alias Nalu, Laxmidhar Swain alias Kalu and Amarendra Mohapatra alias Dipu.
During the search, brown sugar weighing 1 kg and 42 gram and other incriminating materials were recovered & seized from their possession. The accused persons could not produce any document or authority for possession such contraband brown sugar, for which they were arrested and is being forwarded to the court.
In this connection, STF PS case No. 11/2022 U/s 21(c)/29 of NDPS Act 1985 has been registered. Further investigation is on.
Since 2020, STF has seized more than 51 Kg of Brown Sugar/Heroin, 202 Gram Cocaine and more than 93 quintals of Ganja/Marijuna, Opium 750 gram and arrested more than 144 drug dealers/peddlers.
