Odisha CM condemns terrorist attack in Pulwama district of Jammu & Kashmir

Bhubaneswar: Odisha Chief Minister Naveen Patnaik has condemned the recent terrorist attack in the Pulwama district of Jammu and Kashmir where at least 20 CRPF personnel were martyred and several others were injured.  He also expressed his sorrow on the martyrdom of so many jawans.

Patnaik took to Twitter and wrote: “Deeply saddened by the martyrdom of so many CRPF jawans in the terrorist attack in Pulwama district of Jammu and Kashmir.  (I) strongly condemn the cowardly act and condolences to the bereaved families.”

Many people joined the Chief Minister and vented their anger against the terrorists answering to the tweet. They also paid homage to the martyrs through their (reply) tweets. Even one, Suprit Pradhan suggested ‘Need one more surgical strike’.

At least 20 CRPF personnel were martyred and several others were injured in the terrorist attack that took place in Pulwama district of Jammu and Kashmir this afternoon.

According to reports, a convoy of 70 vehicles was on its way to Srinagar from Jammu where about 2500 personnel were travelling. A bus of this convoy was blown up by an improvised explosive device (IED) explosion followed by gunshots in the Goripora area on the Srinagar-Jammu highway in Awantipora. At least 20 jawans were killed in this massive attack.
