Bengaluru: Mystery shrouded the death of a Odia youth who allegedly jumped off the 9th floor of an apartment in Ballandur area of Bengaluru, late last night over unknown reason.
The deceased has been identified as Kartikeshwar Nayak (20), son of Rohit Nayak of Naupanna village under Rahunia police limits of Mayurbhanj district.
Kartik, who worked as a security guard for DIFFSA security agency and stayed in Karnataka capital for past couple of years, took the extreme step at around 12 o’clock in the night.
Kartik jumped off the Sobha Apartment of Bellandur where he had been deployed on duty, said some locals.
However, friends of the deceased have expressed doubt over the suicide theory and claimed they came to know only after Kartik’s body reached a hospital in Bellandur post his death. No trace of blood was found from the spot where he has fallen, they added.
Family members of the deceased has spoken in unison with his friends and also raised doubt over his suicide.
The body of the deceased has been sent to his native place with the help of a Bangaluru based NGO namely, ‘Indian By Birth’ who also helped in the post-mortem.
An investigation by police is underway in the case.
