Berhampur: Mystery shrouded the death of an Odia youth whose badly wounded body was found from Amroli in Surat of Gujarat district yesterday.
The deceased has been identified as Mitu Patra of Chudungpur village under Berhampur in Ganjam district.
Patra, who worked and stayed in Surat for past few months had gone missing from his house on October 13.
Following the registration of a missing person case by the victim’s family, Amroli Police rescued his body yesterday with multiple injury marks and cremated it in Anjali area upon arrival of his family in Gujarat.
The kin of the deceased has alleged that he has been murdered and demanded in inquiry in the same direction.
