Nayak breathed his last at around 7.30 am today after remaining admitted to a private hospital in Bargarh for past one month.
The late freedom fighter is survived by his daughter Swarupa Nayak.
Remembered for his contribution to Quit India Movement was part of a group of 32 freedom fighters of Panimara, the ‘village of freedom fighters’, who had joined father of the nation Mahatma Gandhi and sacrificed all comforts of their lives for the service of the motherland.
