Sambalpur: At least two Odia actresses have been embroiled in controversy after filming their photos and videos inside the prohibited zone of the Hirakud dam here and later uploading the same to Instagram.
The video which went viral recently features actress Prakruti Mishra and Elina Samantray while enjoying a trip to the Hirakud dam and posing for photo on the embankment in the sun. Another one, fashion blogger Lovina Nayak could also be seen accompanying the duo in the same video.
After the video drew sharp criticism in the State and people raised question on the safety and security of the reservoir Sambalpur SP Kanwar Vishal Singh has sought a report on the same from Hirakud SDPO. He has been told to submit his report by 5 PM today.
Notably, the Hirakud dam has been declared as ‘Prohibitory Zone’ which disallows photographay.
Meanwhile, the actress who had posted the video to his Instagram account has deleted it.
