Puri: Devotees can now have darshan of the deities at Puri Jagannath Temple on Sundays from March 20. This was decided during the Chhatisa Nijog meeting held under the Chairmanship of Puri Collector Samarth Verma today.
According to the decision taken during the meeting, the devotees can enter the 12the Century shrine from Dwara Pitha (opening of gates) to Pahada (closing of the temple).
Samarth Verma also informed that they also discussed about the celebration of Dolapurnima in the temple.
It is to be noted here that the temple administration had banned the public darshan of the deities on all Sundays in order to sanitize the Temple premises in view of the COVID pandemic.
