Non-subsidised LPG price hiked by Rs 93 per cylinder

LPG, Cooking GasNew Delhi: The Price of Non-subsidised cooking gas (LPG) has been hiked by 93 rupees per cylinder from today, informed Indian Oil Corporation Limited.

It became the 19th increase in price rates of LPG since July 2016 when the union government decided to eliminate subsidy on the cooking gas by raising prices every month.

As per the price hike, the LPG cylinder will cost 742 rupees in Delhi as against 649 previously, 759 rupees 50 paise in Kolkata, 718 rupees 50 paise in Mumbai and 750 rupees in Chennai.

The price of Subsidised LPG has also been increased by around 4 rupees 50 paise per cylinder. It will now cost 495 rupees 69 paise per 14.2 kilogram cylinder in Delhi, 498 rupees 43 paise in Kolkata, 498 rupees 38 paise in Mumbai and 483 rupees 69 paise in Chennai.

Every household is entitled to 12 cylinders of 14.2-kg each at subsidised rates in a year. Any requirement beyond that is to be purchased at market price.
