No member allowed to create ruckus in the house: Surya Narayan Patra

Bhubaneswar: During the question hour or during the speech of the Odisha’s Governor, no member shall be allowed to create ruckus in the house, informed Speaker of Odisha Legislative Assembly (OLA) Surya Narayan Patra. The decision came post the Conference of Secretaries of Legislative Bodies that was held in Shimla.

Reportedly, Himachal Pradesh assembly secretariat hosted the 82nd All India Presiding Officers’ Conference and the 58th Conference of Secretaries of Legislative Bodies from November 16-19 in Shimla. The meeting was chaired by Himachal Pradesh assembly speaker Vipin Singh Parmar. Nearly 400 delegates, including the 70 members from the parliament secretariat attended the meeting.

The same will be informed to all the parties during the all party meeting. The all party meeting has been slated to be held in Odisha Legislative Assembly (OLA) on November 29.

The winter session of the Odisha Legislative Assembly will commence from December 1 and will continue till December 31. According to the schedule, the winter session will have a total of 26 working days. All the MLAs and staffs to undergo RT-PCR test prior to the winter session of Assembly.

Official business will be transacted from December 2 to 6. Private members’ business (bills and resolutions) will be tabled on December 3. Discussion on demand for grants for the first supplementary statement of expenditure for 2021-22 will be held from December 7, followed by discussion and approval of the Appropriation Bill.

The house will also meet on all days excluding Sundays and December 25 (Christmas).
