No decision yet for resuming of physical mode classes of standard I to V in Odisha

Bhubaneswar: No decision has so far been taken for resuming of physical mode classes for the students of standard I to V in the schools, said Odisha School and Mass Education Minister Sameer Ranjan Das on Saturday. In the wake of Covid pandemic alert has been issued to the schools, he also said.

In the wake of Covid 19 pandemic surveillance going on in the schools while alert has also been issued. The Nodal officers are taking daily reports. Also, regular meetings are going on with the District Education Officers (DEOs) in this regard, said the Minister.

The directives issued by the chief minister in the wake of Covid 19 pandemic in the State is being strictly followed in the schools. Infection due to Covid 19 is in control in the government schools of the State. And, different programmes are going on as per the norms of the Health Department, Das said.

The Minister also said that so far no decision has been taken for resuming of physical mode classes for the students of standard I to V.

The assessment examination for the students of Class X will be held on January 5, 2022. If it would not be possible to conduct examination in coming March in the wake of pandemic, marks will be allotted on the basis of this assessment examination, Das said.

The question in this exam will be asked from the portion of the course that has been covered till now, he also said.
