Nithari serial killings: Pandher, Koli sentenced to death

Koli, PandherGhaziabad: A special CBI court here on Monday sentenced businessman Maninder Singh Pandher and his domestic help Surinder Koli to death in one of the sensational Nithari killings cases.

Special Judge Pawan Kumar Tripathi gave the capital punishment to the duo after finding them guilty of rape, murder, abduction and criminal conspiracy over the killing of 20-year-old woman Pinki Sarkar.

Addressing media persons, CBI spokesman R K Gaur said Pandher and Koli were held guilty of kidnap, rape and murder of Pinki.

On October 5, 2006, Pinki was returning home from work. She took the road outside Pandher’s D-5 residence. Koli lured her inside where she was killed and beheaded. He threw the skull behind the house.

The heinous act came to limelight when the police discovered as many as 19 skeletons from Pandher’s house at Nithari in Noida on December 29, 2006.

It was alleged that Koli would lure young girls to Pandher’s house, offering them sweets and chocolates, murder them and have sex with the corpses. He was also accused of cannibalism.

Koli and Pandher were present in the court during the sentencing.
