Jagatsinghpur: The killer male friend of nurse Niharika Patra who found dead on Biluakhai river bank at Nuapari under Mangalabag Police limits last Tuesday surrendered to Biridi Police here today.
Soon after his surrender the accused was taken to an undisclosed place for interrogation.
Notably, the accused identified as Kishore Kumar Anchal alias Raja remained missing from his house since September 13.
Kishore, who was in an affair with the victim since long killed her and stuffed inside a sack to dump on the river bank over unknown reason a few days back. Niharika’s family lodged a missing case at Madhupatna Police Station in Cuttack after she went missing on September 8.
Details are awaited in the incident.
