Jagatsinghpur: In a twist to the murder of Niharika Patra police today found a blood-stained bed sheet from the rented house in Chauliaganj in Cuttack.
Her boyfriend Kishore Kumar Anchal alias Raja, however, has claimed before the police that he has strangulated her to death in the rented house of his friend. Police had earlier arrested Raja for Niharika’s murder and had also taken him under remand for further investigation.
While the police have claimed that Raja was the lone accused in the case, the family members of the deceased have alleged involvement of others in the crime.
The body of Niaharika who went on missing since September 9 was found on Biluakhai river bed near Nuapari area in Jagatsinghpur district on September 17. Police said that they are planning to bring Raja under remand again for further investigation.
