Newlywed Bride Succumbs During Her ‘Bidaai’ In Sonepur Of Odisha

Subarnapur: In a tragic incident, a newlywed bride died during her ‘bidaai’ ceremony on Friday morning at Julunda village under Binika block in Subarnapur district.

While no exact reason for her death was ascertained, locals believed she died from a heart attack due to excess crying during the bidaai. A pall of gloom descended over the village following the incident.

According to sources, the bride Rosy Sa, daughter of late Muralidhar Sa tied the nuptial knot with groom Bisikesan Pradhan of Tentulu village at the bride’s parental house Thursday evening.

Family members of the bride were bidding ‘bidaai’ to Rosy on Friday morning. All of a sudden, the girl fainted and collapsed as she was crying inconsolably. The bereaved family members immediately rushed her to a nearby hospital.

However, the doctors at Dunguripali Community Health Centre (CHC) under Binika block declared Rosy ‘brought dead’.
