Kendrapara: A newly-married woman tried to commit suicide by jumping off a bridge over Luna river at Bahakandia under Kendrapara Sadar Police limits on Wednesday.
As per reports, the woman took the extreme step owing to marital discord and family dispute. She was rescued by some of the locals who had seen her jumping off the bridge.
After being rescued in an unconscious state, the woman was admitted to the Kendrapara District Hospital for medical treatment.
Meanwhile, the Police reached the spot and started a probe into the matter.
