Cuttack: New Year observed in Kalarabanka, the ideal village of Cuttack district. Kandhamal MP, Founder of KIIT and KISS visited his birth place and paid his obeisance at the Raghunath Jew and Mahaveer temple.
On this occasion the women of SHGs and panchayat felicitated Dr. Samanta whom he informed about woman empowerment and how the State Govt is encouraging in this regard.
After visiting Raghunath Jew and Lord Mahaveer, Dr. Samanta garlanded the statue of Maa Nilimarani, the founder of Smart village.
Later, the locals wished Dr. Samanta for New Year by offering him flower bucket. Sweets were distributed among the people on this occasion by Dr. Samanta.
Among others, editor of Kadambini and Kuni Katha, president of two High Schools Dr. Iti Samanta, senior journalist Bijay Singh, KIIT legal advisor Manoranjan Pradhan, Village Committee president Anjan Samanta, Secretary Abhin Chandra Kesh, Head Master and teachers of High school and villagers were present.
