New Kind Of Cyber Fraud Relating To Covid Vaccine Emerges In Capital City Of Odisha
Bhubaneswar: New method of cyber fraud has come to the fore on the pretext of providing covid vaccination in the capital city of Odisha.
According to reports, the fraudsters are calling the people and asking for the email id and Aadhar number under the pretext of registering for the coronavirus vaccine. They are asking to provide the sent OTP on this basis to confirm the registration.
Later, the cyber criminals are withdrawing money from the Aadhar linked bank accounts.
The Commissionerate of Police has issued warning to the public. The police has asked them to be cautious and not to give personal information to anyone without proper verification.
