New Covid cases in Odisha cross 300 mark today

Bhubaneswar: Odisha on Sunday recorded a rise in daily Covid cases and crossed the 300-mark today in different districts of the State in the last 24 hours.

According to the data shared by the Information & Public Relations Department, as many as 346 new positives were reported in 18 districts and the State Pool. A total of 231 persons were infected with the virus on Saturday.

There are 49 children in the 0-18 age group. Out of the total 346 cases, 202 are quarantine cases while the rest 144 are local contacts. Currently, there are 1310 active cases in the State.

Khordha alone reports 189 Covid positives today followed by Cuttack, State Pool, and Sundergarh with 51, 41, and 13 positives respectively. Likewise, Balasore, Jagatsinghpur, and Nuapada recorded seven positives each, Rayagada and Sambalpur with five cases each, Bhadrak, Jajpur, and Puri with four cases each.

Similarly, Jharsuguda and Mayurbhanj with two covid positives each while Dhenkanal, Ganjam, Kalahandi, Keonjhar and Nayagarh recorded one positive case each.
