CM Naveen demands Flyover at KhandagiriNew Delhi: Odisha Chief Minister Naveen Patnaik sought for construction of a flyover at Khandagiri Chhak in Bhubaneswar, an accident prone spot in the city, during his meeting with Union Road Transport and Highways Minister Nitin Gadkari here on Wednesday.

Patnaik, who is on a six-day Delhi visit, met the Union Minister at the latter’s office and drew attention  on various state related issues.

The Odisha CM also demanded for construction of another flyover at Gohira Chhak leading to Capital Info-Capital Valley-II near Khurda on NH-16.

Besides, he asked the Union Minister to finalise tender process for different NHs like the four-laning of Cuttack-Angul (NH-42), four-laning of Barkote-Panposh (NH-23), six-laning of Chandihole-Balasore (NH-16) and four-laning of Chandikhole-Duburi-Talcher Section of NH-200.

Naveen further asked Gadkari to declare the 12 approved roads as National Highways and gave proposal to approve 30 State roads as NH. In the meeting, it was also decided to complete the uncompleted works of National Highways in Odisha at the earliest.

Patnaik is slated to meet Union Minister Piyush Goyal at around 6 PM today to discuss various issues related to Odisha. He is also likely to hold meeting with many other Union Ministers and put forth state related issues before returning to Odisha on October 1.
