Naveen releases ‘Top 10’ achievement list of his fourth term, shares ‘3D’ formula with ministers

Bhubaneswar: Chief Minister Naveen Patnaik today released a list of BJD Government’s 10 major achievements in the fourth consecutive term in power in the state and advised his ministers to work for the people as per a ‘3D’ formula coined by him.

Naveen who chaired a meeting of the Council of Ministers at the State Secretariat to mark the completion of the fourth year of his current term and thanked four crore people of Odisha for reposing faith on the BJD Government. Claiming the 3 T’s- transparency, team work and technology to be the success mantra of his government, the CM advised his ministers to work with 3 D’s- determination, dedication and devotion.

While addressing the media soon after the meeting Naveen went on to read out a list comprising of his top 10 achievements during the fourth term.

Firstly, several historical decisions have been taken to promote the Odia language, our mother tongue in all walks of life. Our target was to build 24 lakh pucca houses out of which 17 lakh have been completed and the remaining 7 lakh would be completed by March next year. As far as rural roads are concerned 25,500 kms have been constructed. In irrigation and agriculture, 7 lakh hectares of additional irrigation potential have been created, 10 lakh hectares would be achieved by April next year. 117 lakh metric tonne grain production target has been achieved. Arrangements have been made to provide crop loans to sharecroppers. Millet mission for rain fed areas has been introduced, said the CM.

“In urban matters, land right to slum dwellers is a historical decision. As far as skill development is concerned we lead the country is skill development. Nine lakh young people have achieved the skill development out of a target of 11 lakh. Four out of nine medical colleges have been set up and five more are in the pipeline. As far as tribal development is concerned special development councils in tribal dominated districts have been established. For women, 70 lakh women in SHG groups and 30 lakh women are covered under the Mamata Scheme. Odisha and Bhubaneswar are now the global sports destination,” he added.
