Naveen Patnaik’s Sister Geeta Mehta Donates Rs 10 Lakh For Fani Victims
Bhubaneswar: Eminent writer Geeta Mehta, who is Odisha Chief Minister Naveen Patnaik’s elder sister, extended monetary assistance to the people of the cyclone-affected areas of the state.
The US-based writer has donated Rs 10 lakh to the Chief Minister’s Relief Fund (CMRF) for cyclone Fani victims.
Born in Delhi, Geeta Mehta is a well-known author, documentary filmmaker and journalist. An alumna of the University of Cambridge, Mehta’s books have been translated into 21 languages and been on the bestseller lists in Europe, the US and India.
The subject of both her fiction and non-fiction is exclusively focused on India, its culture and history, and the Western perception of it.
