Naveen lays foundation stone for first Haj House in Odisha

CM Naveen Bhubaneswar: Chief Minister Naveen Patnaik laid the foundation stone for the first Haj House at Pokhariput here for Haj pilgrims on Wednesday.

The Haj House will be constructed at a cost of Rs 2.39 crore and is expected to complete within 18 months. Once completed, the house would provide short stay facilities to pilgrims of the minority community of the state.

Besides, the Chief Minister also laid foundation stones and inaugurated several projects in the capital city today.

He inaugurated a 530-seater girls’ hostel and a 600-seater boys’ hostel at the College of Engineering and Technology (CET) in Bhubaneswar, constructed at Rs 23.50 crore and 21.39 crore, respectively.

The CM also unveiled a Command Centre And Control Room for the Special Armed Police which has been set up at a cost of Rs 7.50 crore and a new office building of the Economic Offences Wing and Special Task Force, constructed at Rs 15 crore.

Moreover, Naveen inaugurated 12 Chilka Fresh centres and flagged off 12 Fish-on-Wheels mobile vans.
