Prakash Javadekar in OdishaBhubaneswar: Union HRD Minister Prakash Javadekar today lashed out at the BJD Government in Odisha dubbing it ‘íncapable’.

“Naveen Government is incapable,” Javadekar said while speaking to media persons on his arrival here on a two-day visit to the state this morning.

Javadekar claimed that Re 1/per Kg rice is a central scheme. The Union Government has been providing subsidy worth Rs 27 per kg of rice while the state government is bearing only a small fraction of the cost of this scheme.

The Union Minister also reiterated BJP president Amit Shah’s claim that the party would form the next government in Odisha winning more than 120 out of the total of 147 Assembly segments.

Senior BJD leader and Agriculture Minister Dr. Damodar Rout hit back hard at Javadekar saying the Union Minister has zero knowledge of governance.

“If our state government is incapable, then how come the union government has given us various  prizes as best performing state in different sectors, including agriculture, in the recent past?” asked  Rout.

“The people of Odisha know very well about the vision and achievement of the Naveen Government. The voters will again bless us to form the government in 2019,” the minister said.
