Naveen brushes aside Rahul’s ‘remote control’ jibe

New Delhi: CM Naveen Patnaik, who is on a two-day visit to New Delhi today, rubbished the allegation of Congress national president Rahul Gandhi’s ‘remote control’ allegation as frivolous.

Naveen was responding to the question of a media person after chairing a high-level meeting of senior bureaucrats, regarding State projects pending with the Government of India at Odisha Bhawan, when dubbed the Gandhi scion’s jibe as ‘bilkul bakwas’.

Rahul in his January 25 address, at Tamando Mini Stadium had alleged that, PM Narendra Modi is remote controlling Naveen because of the chit fund scam in the state. Naveen Patnaik tacitly supports Narendra Modi at the Centre and we are fighting a version of Narendra Modi in Odisha, he added at that time.

Earlier, the CM after reviewing pending issues during the Odisha Bhawan meeting informed that around Rs 6400 crore of fund meant for Odisha under various projects are pending with the Centre.

“I have deputed officials of Odisha Bhawan to follow-up various ministries at the Centre in connection with the pending fund,” informed Naveen.
