Narrow escape for students as boat capsizes in Kendrapara

Kendrapara: More than thirty students of a high school had a narrow escape after a boat carrying them capsized in a river in Odisha’s Kendrapara district on Wednesday morning.

The incident occurred at Maduban ghat on the banks of Kani River under the Aul police limits in the district.

Hearing their screams, people present at the ghat rushed to the spot and rescued the students. All the students were reportedly safe.

According to reports, the students depend on the wooden boat to cross the river and reach their school–BCJ High School located at Jaribanka in Jajpur district.
