Narrow escape for 6 people in family, as miscreants set house on fire over property dispute in Bhadrak

Bhadrak: In a shocking incident, a house of one Sudarshan Das was set on fire with six people of the family inside by some miscreants over property dispute at GabaSahi area under Bhadrak police limits.

The incident took place in the wee hours of Thursday. However, their five-room house and property worth lakhs were gutted in the fire mishap. Six members of the family had a narrow escape.

According to sources, Sudarshan and his family members were asleep in their house when some miscreants locked their house and set it on fire late last night. On knowing about the fire the family members tried to rush out of the house to save their lives and found the house locked from outside. They broke the window and came out from the burning house.

Sudarshan immediately lodged a complaint at the Bhadrak town police station regarding the incident. Learning about the incident, the police reached the village and launched a probe into the incident.

The police have detained two persons in this connection for further questioning.
