Bhubaneswar: Senior Congress leader Narasingha Mishra was elected as the Congress Legislative Party leader (CLP) on Monday.

After his appointment as the CLP leader, Mishra said his party will raise issues pertaining to law and order, unemployment and farmers in the state.

Raising questions on BJD supporting BJP leader Ashwini Vaishnav’s candidature for Rajya Sabha from Odisha, the senior leader said there is a secret nexus between the BJD and BJP who are ‘foes outside but friends inside’.

The Congress party will expose this unholy BJP-BJD nexus, he said.

Noteworthy, Narasingha Mishra was the leader of opposition in the 15th Odisha Assembly. However, due to the abysmal performance of the grand old party in the recently concluded assembly polls, the BJP now holds the status of the opposition party in the state.
