Bhubaneswar: The Nandankanan Zoological Park authorities brought 28 animals from Chennai based Arignar Anna Zoological Park.
The five-member team, headed by veterinary doctor Sharat Sahoo, brought the animals under an exchange programme.
They brought two Nilgiri Langurs, four white Peafowls, 10 Painted Storks and four Reticulated Pythons, eight Iguanas from Chennai Zoo in exchange of 19 animals.
The Nandankanan officials are also mulling over getting some zebras as the lone zebra died on Monday.
