Expressing gratitude to the people of Odisha, he said- “First, I would like to thank the people of Odisha for having showered their blessings so generously on us for the fifth time. l would also like to thank the leaders and workers of my party and particularly for the women of Odisha who came out in large numbers to vote for us,” Patnaik said

When asked about serving a sixth term, Patnaik replied, “I certainly hope that it (the winning spree) will repeat itself for the sixth term.”

Notably, Patnaik will take oath for a record fifth term as the Chief Minister of Odisha on Wednesday. Around 5000 guests, including the newly elected legislators and BJD party functionaries, will be a part of the ceremony.
