Bhubaneswar: The Narcotics Control Bureau (NCB) arrested four more accused in connection with Saturday’s drug bust on a cruise ship off Mumbai coast. Reportedly, two of the four arrestees belong to Odisha’s Rourkela, stated the NCB. The two allegedly involved youths of Odisha have been identified as Manish Rajgaria and Avin Dinanath Sahu while the other two are Abdul Kadar Sheikh and Shreyas Nair of of Jogeshwari and Goregaon.
Reportedly, all four have been sent to the NCB custody till October 11. The anti-drugs agency had earlier arrested eight accused in this case out of which three, including Bollywood superstar Shah Rukh Khan‘s son Aryan Khan, Munmun Dhamecha and Arbaaz Merchant were sent to NCB custody till October 7.
Some quantity of drugs like ganja was seized from Manish while Abhin was taken to custody as he was confirmed of using a few shots of drugs, added reports. As per the NCB, both Avin and Manish had joined the party as guests.
Meanwhile, father of arrested Manish Rajgaria has said “My son has been trapped in this case. Only 2.4 gm ganja seized from my son’s possession which he had kept filled in cigarette for his own use and not to sell it.”
It is pertinent to mention that the action came after the NCB’s swoop on Saturday evening aboard the Cordelia Cruises deluxe ship as it was preparing for a scheduled Mumbai-Goa voyage. Although there was no drugs found from Aryan’s bag or any trace of contraband was found during his medical examination, but the officials found a small quantity of the narcotics from Arbaaz.
NCB claimed it to be an international racket and that all the accused were directly in touch with the drug peddlers. The WhatsApp chats of Aryan has revealed some intimate data, where several code words were used. Moreover, Aryan has accepted to have been under the influence of drugs for the last four years.
