Mukesh Ambani announces more investment for Odisha at Make In Odisha Conclave

Bhubaneswar: Opening new avenues for Odisha Reliance Industries Limited (RIL) Chairman and Managing Director Mukesh Ambani today announced that his company will invest an additional Rs 3,000 crore in Odisha. He made the announcement at the Plenary Session of Make In Odisha Conclave 2018 which was held at the Janta Maidan.

Notably, the RIL has already invested Rs 6,000 crore in Odisha till today creating more employment opportunity.

Mukesh whose company holds the position of being one of the largest investors in Odisha so far, didn’t forget to remember legendary Biju Patnaik during his address at the plenary session and informed that his father Dhirubhai Ambani and Shri Biju Patnaik were having a deep bond. The legendary leader had a futuristic vision, he added.

Laying emphasis on the digital revolution, Mukesh said that the Reliance Jio’s per capita data consumption in Odisha is highest in the country. Jio has connected all major cities, towns and 43,000 villages in Odisha, he informed.

“Reliance is committed to make Odisha the most developed digital state in the country. For that, we are working with the State Government in Mission Shakti Scheme to connect lakhs of women digitally,” said the RIL chief.

In a boost to sports sector, RIL will soon set up Reliance Foundation-Odisha High Performance Athletics Centre in the state, said Mukesh.
