Phulbani: Kandhamal MP Dr. Achyuta Samanta handed over offer letter of job from Tamil Nadu based KPR Mills Pvt. Ltd to a group of unemployed youths of his parliamentary constituency here in Odisha on Thursday.
Dr. Samanta handed over the offer letter to the youths in the presence of District Collector D. Brunda, Sub-Collector Subhankar Mohapatra and other senior officials.
The BJD MP and founder of KISS & KIIT has persuaded KPR Mills Ltd Group Chairman KP Ramasamy to recruit youths from Kandhamal for their operations in Coimbatore, following a focussed skill training programme in the district.
Expressing happiness over his effort to provide jobs to the youths from his constituency, Dr Samanta said, “This has given me great satisfaction and I vow to continue working towards providing gainful employment for our youth of Kandhamal.”
A small group of interns have already gone to Tamil Nadu and acquired job experience, he added.
In January this year, Dr Samanta, in collaboration with Kandhamal district administration, organised a mega job fair here. More than 70 companies from across the country and over 10, 000 job aspirants participated in the job fair.
