Bhubaneswar: Morning school in the state of Odisha has started from today due to the severe heat wave.
Today school hours have been changed. Classes for the ninth and eleventh grades are scheduled to be held from 7 am to 9 am.
Previously, classes for the ninth and eleventh grades were being held from from 8:30 am to 10 am.
However tenth and twelfth classes shall be held from 9 am to 1 pm as against the earlier schedule of 11 am to 4 pm.
The state government has taken such a decision in view of the extreme heat wave in the state.
Similarly, the schools have been instructed to maintain adequate supply of ORS (Oral Rehydration Solution) in case of emergency.
