More than 900 Covid 19 positive cases registered in Twin City of Odisha today

Bhubaneswar: As on January 10, the Covid-19 positive cases in Twin City of Odisha has jumped past 900 mark. Bhubaneswar recorded 619 positive cases while Cuttack city reported 301 new Covid-19 cases today.

According to reports by Bhubaneswar Municipal Corporation (BMC), out of the total 619 positive cases registered today, 51 cases are quarantine cases while 568 cases are local contact cases.

With today’s development, the total Covid-19 positive cases have increased to 1,27,266. The recovered cases are 1,22,817. The total number of deceased cases are 1103. At present, the active Covid-19 cases in Bhubaneswar stand at 3325.

In the Cuttack Municipal Corporation (CMC area) 301 new Covid-19 cases were registered. While 32 cases were Institutional quarantine cases, 146 cases were home quarantine cases. As many as 123 cases recorded today are local contact cases.

The total cases in CMC are 47,218 while the recovered cases are 45,572. Active cases today are 1217 while the deaths are 429.

The recovered cases in BMC and CMC on January 10 are 117 and 29 respectively.

As many as 4829 Covid-19 positive cases including 933 from Khordha have been detected in the last 24 hours.

The total cases include 448 in the 0-18 years age group have been found, informed the Information and Public Relations (I&PR) Department on Monday.

Among the 4829 positives, 2823 are quarantine cases and 2006 are local contacts. There are a total of 20, 560 active cases. The positivity rate stands at 6.49%.
