Monsoon to hit Odisha next week!

Bhubaneswar: The southwest monsoon is likely to make its arrival and hit Odisha in next four to five days, informed the Regional Centre of India Meteorological Department on Saturday.

“The conditions are becoming favorable for the monsoon onset in Odisha in the next 4 to 5 days,”, informed the MeT in a tweet.

The people of Odisha have been waiting for the spells of rain especially during the upcoming Raja festival. Although, a cloudy weather has been prevailing in many parts of the State, no rainfall has been witnessed.

The weather department has further stated that Southwest Monsoon has further advanced into remaining parts of central Arabian Sea, most parts of Konkan (including Mumbai), some parts of Madhya Maharashtra, some more parts of Karnataka today, the 11th June, 2022.

Conditions are favorable for further advance of monsoon into some parts of north Arabian sea, remaining parts of Konkan, some parts of Gujarat state, most parts of Madhya Maharashtra, entire Karnataka and Tamil Nadu, some parts of Telangana, Andhra Pradesh.

Westcentral & northwest Bay of Bengal during next 48 hours. Conditions would continue to become favorable for further advance of monsoon into some more parts of north Arabian Sea, Gujarat state, some parts of Marathwada, some more parts of Telangana, Andhra Pradesh, most parts of Bay of Bengal, entire Sub-Himalayan West Bengal & Sikkim, some parts of Odisha, Gangetic West Bengal, Jharkhand and Bihar during subsequent 2-3 days, added the weather reports.
