Monsoon covers entire Odisha: India Meteorological Department

Bhubaneswar: The city-based regional centre of India Meteorological Department (IMD) here today informed that the Southwest monsoon further advanced this morning and has now covered the entire Odisha.

“Southwest Monsoon has further advanced into remaining parts of Odisha on today, the 13 June, 2021 and thus it covered the entire Odisha,” said that weatherman in a press release.

“The Northern Limit of Monsoon (NLM) passes through lat. 20.5°N/ Long. 60°E, Diu, Surat, Nandurbar, Bhopal, Nowgong, Hamirpur, Barabanki, Bareilly, Saharanpur, Ambala and Amritsar,” it added.

The department further said that heavy to very heavy rainfall would occur in the State in the coming days with the further advancement of Monsoon.

The IMD further said that light to moderate thundershower with lightning and light to moderate rain likely to occur over some parts of the districts of Nabarangpur, Koraput, Rayagada, Ganjam, Gajapati, Nayagarh, Nuapada, Bargarh, Balangir, Sonepur, Boudh, Kandhamal, Kalahandi, Sambalpur, Jharsuguda, Deogarh, Sundergarh, Angul, Dhenkanal and Jajpur within next three hours.
