Bhubaneswar: In an interview to a leading English news channel, Odisha Chief Minister and Biju Janata Dal (BJD) supremo Naveen Patnaik said Prime Minister Narendra Modi does not deserve a second term in office.
“Modi has not been successful. He has not fulfilled his promises on employment, irrigation, railroads, etc. I don’t think that he deserves a second term,” said Naveen.
Hailing Atal Bihari Vajpayee as “one of the best prime ministers India has had”, CM Naveen said BJD will back the party which supports the just and legitimate demands of Odisha.
On being asked about Congress President Rahul Gandhi, CM Naveen said Rahul “still has to mature.”
Ruling out PM Modi’s claim that BJP will form the next government in Odisha, Naveen Patnaik said his party will have a comfortable majority in the upcoming elections.
