Mock Poll conducted at Odisha Secretariat
To spread awareness of the use of VVPAT machines in 2019 General Elections
Bhubaneswar: State Chief Secretary participated in mock polling conducted on Tuesday at State Secretariat here. This was undertaken to spread awareness of the use of VVPAT machines in the upcoming General Elections.
The office of State Election Commission organised this mock poll at the Secretariat. Apart from Aditya Kumar Padhi (Chief Secretary) and Surendra Kumar (State Election Commissioner), many other senior officials were part of this mock drill.
Representatives of Chief Election Commission are set to visit Odisha on February 14 and 15 to inspect the preparedness of the state for upcoming General Elections. On their visit, they will have a meeting with senior government officials and prominent leaders of regional parties.
