Kendrapara: In a success to Kendrapara Police against a mobile looter gang, it arrested at least 11 persons after conducting multiple raids in the district last night.
A joint team of special squad of Kendrapara Police, cyber shell led by Aul Police Station Inspector-in-Charge (IIC) Salil Pradhan carried out the raids following a direction of district Superintendent of Police (SP).
During multiple raids which were conducted in Aul, Rajkanika and Chandbali areas cops seized around 22 mobiles and cash worth Rs 50,000 from the possession of the accused and took him into custody.
“The held gang which also comprises of 7 minor boys was active in Aul, Rajkanika and Chandbali areas for the past couple of months and was involved in looting a number of mobile shops,” informed Aul IIC.
All the members of the gang have been forwarded to court after the arrest.
