Mo Cycle Celebrates First Anniversary

Bhubaneswar: Mo Cycle or My Cycle, public transport system of the state capital today celebrated its first anniversary.

Chief Minister Naveen Patnaik had launched the public transport on November 26 last year for the Men’s Hockey World Cup which was held at Kalinga Stadium.

A cyclothon was organised on a stretch of 2.5 kms  between CRUT office,BMC Bhawani Mall to Rotary Bhawan a stretch of 2.5KMs.

Arjuna Awardee cyclist Minati Mahapatra joined the celebration of the fisrt anniversary of Mo Cycle.

Members of Bhubaneswar Cycling & Adventure Club and fitness freak IPS officer Sanjeeb Panda talked about benefits of cycling.

Chief Guest Minati Mohapatra enthralled the audience with her anecdotes about cycling, given emphasis on building a robust infrastructure further & “Pedal today for better tomorrow.

She said that, Bhubaneswar will become a true smart city when more number of citizens will join cycling and minimise the carbon footprints.
