Bhubaneswar: ‘Mo Bus’ service managed by the Capital Region Urban Transport (CRUT) is trying its best to restore the bus service with more than 70 buses plying on the road so far after the cyclone Fani wrecked havoc in the state capital.
Officials said that the bus service will be restored in phase wise manner and they started the AC bus service on Friday. As many as 190 buses used to ply in the city before the cyclone struck.
“ The ticket machines and few features of the Mo Bus App was not functioning properly due to network outage. However we are hopeful of restoring the bus service fully in couple of days,” said an official.
On the other hand auto rickshaws have started fleecing the passengers in the absence of adequate city buses. Many commuters alleged that they are forced to pay double fare to the auto rickshaws.
