Mo Bus Service Fully Restored After Fani

Bhubaneswar:  Service of ‘Mo Bus’ managed by the Capital Region Urban Transport (CRUT) has been completely restored with 60000 passengers availing the service on daily basis. The number of passengers has dropped significantly after severe cyclone Fani hit the Odisha coast on May 3.

General Manager (Personnel and Administration) of CRUT,  Dipti Mahapatro requested the users of the service to cooperate with senior citizens, ladies, and differently-abled people to help them sit in their allotted seats so that all types of passengers could enjoy their rides.

“We request the passengers to use the rear door for entry and front door for exit in-order to make easy boarding, alighting and ticketing. We also request passengers to board and alight at the designated stops only,” said Mahapatro.

Officials in CRUT said that the number of passengers has dropped to 30000 after the severe cyclone. “The ticket machines and few features of the Mo Bus App stopped functioning properly due to network outage in the aftermath of the cyclone,” said an official.

Currently, as many as 190 buses are plying on 20 various routes in Bhubaneswar, Khordha and Cuttack. CRUT has also requested the passengers to take care of their own belongings and note that they shall keep their luggage at their own risk and try to tender the exact change towards the ticket fare.
