Bhubaneswar: The Capital Region Urban Transport (CRUT) has won the Award of Excellence at 13th Urban Mobility India Conference organised by Ministry of Housing and Urban Affairs (MoHUA) India for innovation in urban transport during COVID19.
CRUT BBSR ensured safe commuting during pandemic and brought facilities to the doorsteps of citizens.
“CRUT addressed their social responsibility during the pandemic by bringing facilities to the doorsteps by converting neighbourhood bus stops into vegetable vending zones and providing ‘Grocery on Wheels’,” the Ministry said.
With the development of mobile Apps like MoBus MoStory and Games of MoBus, the agency educated and sensitized the commuters. The organization brought much needed shift to digital payments by using Mo Card for cashless and contactless ticketing, added Ministry.
Odisha Chief Minister Naveen Patnaik have also congratulated CRUT BBSR on receiving award of Excellence at 13th Urban Mobility India Conference organised by MoHUA India for innovation in urban transport during COVID-19.
