Nabarangpur: Tension ran high in Rahasapari village under Raighar police limits in Nabarangpur district today morning after body of a minor girl was found inside an abandoned located in the area.
The victim girl, identified as Shanti Rout (17) of the same village had gone missing after leaving her house yesterday in some work.
While family members of the victim had launched a frantic search to trace her last night their efforts went futile.
Some locals spotted the body of the victim floating inside the well this morning and called up police after which the mishap came to light.
While police have sent the body of the victim for autopsy after fishing it out from the well, it is being suspected that the girl slipped into the well while taking bath and drowned.
