Berhampur: Mystery shrouded the death of a man whose body was found floating inside an abandoned well in Bidyutpur Colony under Baidyanathpur police limits Ganjam district today.
The deceased has been identified as Ambika Prasad Padhi of Shakti Nagar area.
As per the family members of the Ambika, who worked with a local cable service provider, went missing after leaving his home for office two days ago. Despite a frantic search they failed to trace him till yesterday.
Some locals came across a foul smell which was coming from an abandoned well in Bidyutpur Colony and found the victim floating inside that this morning.
Following an intimation, police rushed to the spot and fished out the body for an autopsy later.
An investigation is underway to find out the exact cause of the death of the victim.
