Koraput: A 68-year-old man was found dead atop a hill under Jeypore Sadar police limits in Odisha’s Koraput district on Sunday morning.
The deceased has been identified as Pitambar Beheruk, a resident of Jeypore. He was missing for last three days in connection with which his family had lodged a complaint at the police station.
According to reports, the body of Beheruk was spotted by a few locals of Parajaguda village who had ventured on the hilltop early morning to collect firewood.
After being informed, the police reached the spot and initiated a probe into the incident.
While the exact reason behind the death of the elderly man is yet to be ascertained, it is being suspected that he might have been murdered.
